La séptima edición del Festival Origen, tendrá lugar  del 17 al 20 de agosto de 2023 en distintos espacios monumentales de la localidad de Orce (Granada).

Las diferentes obras que concurran deberán tener en cuenta las siguientes bases:

1. La persona que presenta la película (el solicitante) reconoce que ha obtenido el consentimiento de todos y cada uno de los propietarios, creadores, escritores, productores y / u otros representantes autorizados de la película. Cualquier reclamación que pudiera producirse por derechos de propiedad intelectual será responsabilidad de la persona o entidad que presenta el trabajo a concursO.

2. Podrán participar en el festival personas físicas o jurídicas de cualquier nacionalidad siempre y cuando hayan cumplido los 18 años.

3. La fecha límite de envío es el 30 de junio de 2023. Las inscripciones que lleguen después de la fecha límite no serán admitidas.

4. Antes del 15 de julio se comunicará por correo a los participantes de las obras seleccionadas para la sección oficial. La organización del Festival no informará sobre el proceso de selección antes de la fecha señalada.

5. Las obras audiovisuales, pueden ser de diferentes géneros y no deberán exceder 40 minutos de duración.

6. Las películas solo pueden enviarse una única ocasión por edición, incluso si se envía como un trabajo en progreso.

7. Los cortometrajes cuyos diálogos no estén en español, deberán tener subtítulos en este idioma, incrustados en el archivo.

8. En caso de selección, el festival se reserva el derecho de utilizar imágenes fijas y extractos de las películas para fines promocionales, que no excedan el 10% del tiempo de ejecución, o un máximo de 45 segundos.

9. Los participantes no tienen derecho a reclamar tarifas de proyección o alquiler por las proyecciones de sus películas en competencia.

10. Los realizadores de los cortometrajes seleccionados a competición, se comprometerán a enviar sus trabajos en formatos legibles (MPG4,MOV,H264 o similar) con calidad HD para su correcta proyección. En el caso de una obra no reúna los requisitos mínimos de calidad para su proyección, la organización se reserva el derecho de no incluirla en la sección oficial.

Además del archivo de vídeo, se deberán enviar dos imágenes:

• Cartel del cortometraje en formato .jpg o .png, con un tamaño de 420 x 623 píxeles.
• Fotograma del corto, de 1280 x 720 píxeles, también en formato .jpg o .png que no contenga el título (que no sea el fotograma inicial), ni los subtítulos sobreimpresos.
• Opcionalmente se podrá enviar un tráiler del cortometraje a la cuenta de correo origenfestival@gmail.com para su difusión en redes sociales.

11. Las inscripciones se podrán realizar exclusivamente online a través de las siguientes plataformas:

12. El Jurado estará formado por un grupo de personas de diferentes ámbitos, tanto del sector audiovisual como de otros sectores, buscando siempre una mirada diversa, crítica, cualificada, que recoja los diferentes sensibilidades de los espectadores. Su decisión será inapelable.

13. Se informará al ganador una vez finalizado el festival. Su obra se proyectará nuevamente en la edición 2023, con la mención de ganadora

14. Habrá un premio único de 1000€ y estará sujetos a las retenciones legales correspondientes.

15. Quedan expresamente excluidos del concurso cualquier persona relacionada con la organización del festival, así como patrocinadores o cualquier colaborador que intervenga en el proceso de selección de los cortos finalistas, nominados o ganadores.

16. Los/as participantes aceptan la exhibición pública de su obra en este certamen, bajo las condiciones establecidas, así como la aceptación de la totalidad de estas bases, así como su interpretación por parte de la organización y del jurado.

17. El Comité Organizador decidirá sobre los casos imprevistos que se presenten y que no estén recogidos en estas bases.

The 7th edition of Origen Festival will take place from 17th to 20st of August 2023 in different emblematic locations of Orce, Granada

The participating films must comply with the following guidelines:

1. The person who presents the film (the applicant) claims to have the consent of each and every one of the owners, creators, writers, producers and/or any other legal representative of the movie. Any possible claims about intellectual property rights will be the applicant’s responsibility.

2. The participants must be persons at least 18 years old, or legal entities of any.

3. Works must be received before the June 30th 2023 deadline. Any work received after this date will be dismissed.

4. The selected participants of the Official Section of the Festival will be informed before July 15th. The Festival Organization will not inform about the selection process before this.

5. The audiovisual works can be of different styles and must not exceed a duration of 40 minutes.

6. Movies can only be submitted once per festival, even if submitted as a work in

7. If the dialogues of the films are not in Spanish there must be subtitles in this language burnt in the file.

8. If the movie is selected, the Festival reserves itself the right to use fixed images and extracts of the film for promotional purposes, with an extension of less than 10% of the total duration, or a maximum of 45. 

9. The participants do not have the right to claim any fare or rent for the projections of the works during the competition.

10. The producers of the short films selected for the competition, will send their works in readable formats (MPG4, MOV, H 264 or similar) and high quality. In the event that a film does not reach the quality standards for its projection, the organization reserves itself the right to remove it from the official section.

Alongside the video file, two pictures must be sent:

• Film poster in .jpg or .png format, with a size of 420 x 623 pixels.
• Frame of the film in high quality, in the same .jpg or .png formats. It must not include the title nor the subtitles, and it should not be the initial frame.
• Optionally a trailer can be sent to the following e-mail: origenfestival@gmail.com to share in social networks.

11. The inscription will be done exclusively online through the following platforms: https://filmfreeway.com/, https://festhome.com/, https://www.clickforfestivals.com/  

12. The jury will be formed by people from different fields, from the audiovisual sector as well as from other areas/sectors, always looking for a diverse, critical and qualified view, having in mind the different sensibilities of the spectators. Its decision will be final/unappealable.

13. The winner will be informed at the end of the Festival. His or her work will be projected again in the edition of 2023 with the winner’s mention.

14. There will be only one prize of 1000€, and it will be subject to the legal.

15. Any person related to the organization of the Festival, as well as sponsors or any other collaborator that takes part of the selection process of the films (finalists, nominated or winner) are expressly excluded.

16. The participants agree to the public exhibition of their work in this contest, under the established conditions, the acceptance of these rules, as well as the jury’s interpretation of The Organization Committee will decide about any unexpected circumstances not foreseen in these rules.
